2IC Production Managers support the Production Manager and inspire the team and consistently meet and exceed their performance standards. provide the best quality doughnuts possible. 

 

2IC Production Managers coach and mentor their team to create a fun and authentic workplace focused on delivering delicious doughnuts while ensuring the Site continues to operate to its best when they are absent.  

 

2IC Production Managers lead by example and manage their Site ‘as if it was your own business’.

In this sweet role you will:

    • Be accountable for supporting the Production Manager on general running of the site with the emphasis on human resource management of the site, with a planning horizon not less than one week. 
    • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing and implementing Krispy Kreme standards and procedures well aligned with WHS requirements. 
    • Ensure compliance to quality and audit standards including HACCP, Food Safety, and commercial partners. 
    • Create the weekly roster considering the all-channel forecast, ensuring that daily demands are delivered in the most optimal manner. 
    • Continuously improve the labour usage by collaborating with the site leadership team and analysing actual labour usage vs theorical requirement. 
    • Investigate and control the cases of unplanned absenteeism and overtime. 
    • Adhere to business system processes such as enterprise planning, time, and staff management, ecommerce system on day-to-day basis. 
    • Ensure the new starters are inducted with training and existing staff complete all assigned training in a timely manner, so that the site training compliance is assured. 
    • Be flexible to work on a rotating roster. 
    • In line with the Company mobile phone policy, be open to take occasional phone calls outside your work hours. 
    • Lead the Daily Directional Setting Meeting by planning the content and delving personally or through APMs, to review and enhance performance with a focus on continuous improvement of safety, quality, productivity, cost and well-being of the team.  
    • Identify head-count gaps, interview and hire new starters. 
    • Carry out quarterly performance assessments of team leaders and members with the support of APMs. 
    • Foster a culture of recognition and celebration. 
    • Contribute to Krispy Kreme through providing feedback and insights into best practice, especially on labour planning. 
    • Assume critical functions of the PM or APMs in their absence. 
    • Assume ad-hoc duties as required. 
    • Take on hands-on activities such as production, processing, packing as means of leading by involvement. 
    • Stay grounded and true to yourself. After all, everyone at Krispy Kreme is an Original!

What you can bring to the team

We firmly believe in hiring for cultural contribution and training for skills, however there are some things we need from you:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in food handling or manufacturing 
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader in a relevant industry 
    • Flexible availability to work across a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends
    • Demonstrated consistent delivery of high-level Manufacturing standards 
    • An understanding of the importance of WHS in the workplace 
    • Demonstrate ability to deliver financial results with high attention to detail and excellent communication skills  
    • A demonstrated ability to manage a high quality, customer service focused, outcome driven, small to medium business. 
    • A practical understanding of budgeting, forecasting, labour, and materials management 
    • A comprehensive understanding of the requirements of superior Customer Service 
    • Integrity and a commitment to ethical operations. 
    • The ability to lead and motivate others to achieve the best outcomes for themselves, their team and Krispy Kreme. 
    • An understanding of training processes and how to effectively train others in the workplace. 
    • Confidence, passion and enthusiasm about the customer experience and the Krispy Kreme Brand. 
    • The ability to demonstrate leadership in WHS in the workplace.
    • An in-depth understanding of Krispy Kreme product standards
    • Understanding of conflict management and issue resolution 
    • A positive attitude, self-motivated & able to work autonomously. 
    • The ability to solve problems and seek assistance when required.
    • A commitment to working with a culturally diverse workforce. 
    • Integrity and a commitment to ethical operations. 
    • Confidence, passion and enthusiasm about the customer experience and the Krispy Kreme Brand.
