Assistant Managers support the Production Manager and inspire the team and consistently meet and exceed their performance standards. provide the best quality doughnuts possible. 

 

Assistant Managers coach and mentor their team to create a fun and authentic workplace focused on delivering delicious doughnuts while ensuring the Site continues to operate to its best when they are absent.  

 

Assistant Managers lead by example and manage their Site ‘as if it was your own business’.

In this sweet role you will:

    • Be accountable for supporting the Production Manager on general running of the site with a planning horizon not less than one day. 
    • Maintain a safe and healthy workplace at all times and proactively eliminating and manage potential safety issues. 
    • Adhere to business system processes such as enterprise planning, time, and staff management, ecommerce system on day-to-day basis. 
    • Be flexible to work on a rotating roster. 
    • Lead daily directional setting (DDS) meetings with the team to review and enhance performance with a focus on continuous improvement of safety, quality, productivity, cost and well-being of the team and ensure key messages are communicated to the team during your shift. 
    • Carry out quarterly performance assessments of team leaders and members assisting the 2IC. 
    • Communicate Site maintenance issues with the Production Manager and ensure resolution. 
    • Provide meaningful feedback to stakeholders on the quality of product and services provided to your Site. 
    • Oversee Crew Members performance on shift whilst providing coaching, feedback and also address any concerns as they arise throughout the day. 
    • Contribute to build and sustain a cooperative and supportive team environment. 
    • Assume critical functions of the other APMs in their absence. 
    • Take on hands-on activities such as production, processing, packing as means of leading by involvement. 
    • Assume ad-hoc duties as required. 
    • Contribute to Krispy Kreme through providing feedback and insights into best practices.

What you can bring to the team

We firmly believe in hiring for cultural contribution and training for skills, however there are some things we need from you:

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in food handling or manufacturing 
    • Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader in a relevant industry 
    • Flexible availability to work across a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends
    • Demonstrated consistent delivery of high-level Manufacturing standards 
    • Demonstrate ability to deliver financial results with high attention to detail and excellent communication skills 
    • An understanding of the importance of WHS in the workplace
    • A demonstrated ability to manage a high quality, customer service focused, outcome driven, small to medium business. 
    • A practical understanding of budgeting, forecasting, labour, and materials management 
    • A comprehensive understanding of the requirements of superior Customer Service 
    • Integrity and a commitment to ethical operations. 
    • The ability to lead and motivate others to achieve the best outcomes for themselves, their team and Krispy Kreme. 
    • An understanding of training processes and how to effectively train others in the workplace. 
    • Confidence, passion and enthusiasm about the customer experience and the Krispy Kreme Brand. 
    • The ability to demonstrate leadership in WHS in the workplace. 
    • An in-depth understanding of Krispy Kreme product standards 
    • Understanding of conflict management and issue resolution 
    • A positive attitude, self-motivated & able to work autonomously. 
    • The ability to solve problems and seek assistance when required. 
    • A commitment to working with a culturally diverse workforce. 
    • Integrity and a commitment to ethical operations. 
    • Confidence, passion and enthusiasm about the customer experience and the Krispy Kreme Brand. 
    • Great with people and product.
    • Proud to work with food.
    • Experience with SAP, EBS or other ERP system experience would be very favourable.
