The Manufacturing Manager - Manufacturing plays a crucial strategic role in ensuring the success of Krispy Kreme by leading and developing their business unit to create doughnuts that our employees can be proud of and our Customers want to eat.

The Manufacturing Manager - Manufacturing is responsible for the high-level management of the Manufacturing operations in their State ensuring that all their Manufacturing sites in their state meet or exceed KPIs.

The Manufacturing Manager- Manufacturing works with their management team to ensure all employees produce, process and provide exceptional products for all Krispy Kreme stores, Business Partners and Customers while maintaining a positive, clean and safe work environment.

Every day at Krispy Kreme presents different challenges and while you will need to be flexible and adaptable to meet them all, there are some tasks that will form the backbone of your work as a Manufacturing Manager:

  • You work with your team to maintain/increase quality and improve operational excellence & the Customer experience.
  • You work with your Managers and People & Culture to recruit, promote and develop the right people at the right time to deliver the outcomes your Area and Krispy Kreme require.
  • You use Krispy Kreme’s systems and tools to drive and monitor operations.
  • You create and maintain effective professional relationships with Suppliers, Customers, Colleagues, Store Managers, Vendors, Key Community Contacts and the Executive Leadership Team.
  • You develop your management team through regular Managers’ Meetings, Performance & Potential Discussions and ensuring they participate in appropriate Learning & Development activities.
  • You work with your team to help them see the connection between their work and the overall Krispy Kreme business strategy.
  • You assist your Managers to hold Quarterly Manufacturing Site Meetings and Performance & Potential Discussions.
  • You work with your team to address business challenges through creating and implementing action plans in line with operational and capex budgets.
  • You complete and submit regular and ad-hoc reports to the Head of Manufacturing.
  • You develop and present new business opportunities & strategies for your State, and deliver on those agreed to by the Executive Leadership Team, on time and within budget.


What you can bring to the team


We firmly believe in hiring for cultural contribution and training for skills, however there are some things we need from you:

  • Previous experience in a business manufacturing;  ‘Fresh Daily’ food products is preferred.
  • Significant expertise in leading, managing and innovating Manufacturing Operations at a senior level including identifying and implementing business development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex operations and managing a business unit to budget.
  • A highly proactive, resourceful, quality-focused approach with sound business acumen and strong attention to detail.
  • A strong understanding of WHS processes and safety-first mind-set.
  • Experience in working with Enterprise systems and strong Excel skills.
  • Superior skills in problem solving, data analysis, and verbal & written communications.
  • Proven ability to engage and inspire people to deliver their best.
  • Superior influencing & relationship development skills.

  • Tertiary Qualifications in an Engineering Field, Process Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing or relevant industry experience
  • A minimum of 5 years management experience in Manufacturing (HACCP based Food Manufacturing Experience is preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years experience managing budgets and factory workforce.
